About me

What I bring to the table:

👉🏻Experienced (online) tutor for people whose first language is Mandarin, English or French

👉🏻Online sessions in different languages: I conduct the sessions either fully in German (native) or with explanations in English (fluent) or in French (fluent) – moreover, I’ve some intermediate understanding of Mandarin (still useful to explain connotations for instance)

👉🏻Working experience in science and international business: I’m here for you if you want to talk about marketing, export/import or science topics

Although I have always been passionate about literature, my academic background is in biotechnology. After working in academic research and food safety laboratories, I changed careers following the pandemic and transitioned into marketing and international business in the food sector.

For many years, I have participated in language exchanges, helping learners from around the world improve their German, my native language. Having lived in Austria, where I grew up, as well as Taiwan, Portugal, Brazil, Germany, and now France, I have developed a deep appreciation for cultural differences and the dedication required to achieve fluency in a foreign language. As a passionate language learner myself, I understand the dedication required to reach an advanced level—where you can communicate with confidence, connect with others, and work efficiently in another language.

How can I book a session?

What time slots are available for one-on-one online German sessions?

Flexible scheduling, Monday to Sunday: 7:00–21:00 CEST (subject to availability).

Do you teach all levels starting from A1?

Although I mainly focus on supporting intermediate learners (B1 to C1) or bilingual individuals who want to maintain and refresh their skills, I also have teaching materials available for complete beginners. I can even tailor the lessons to introduce practical workplace vocabulary from the very beginning, depending on the learner’s goals.

Do you provide structured sessions for language certificates?
(Goethe-Zertifikat, ÖSD, Telc, etc.)

I coach my students in preparing for their exams.
However, I am not a certified language teacher, so I do not provide official course completion certificates.

I’m not a German learner, but I’m curious about German influencers. Can I book your session to chat about them?

That’s a very interesting request! It’s fascinating to see how some German-speaking influencers have recently gained significant popularity abroad as well, such as Pamela Reif in China. I’d be happy to share insights into various German-speaking influencers, as I feature them on the Deutsch-Encore YouTube channel.

I want my child to learn German. Do you accept children too?

Yes, I do accept children (ages 5–11), provided that a parent accompanies them during the online sessions. In the past, I have helped children develop basic German skills ahead of a moving to Germany, as well as introduced them to the language through reading German children’s books together. I recommend to reduce the session time is reduced to half an hour (30 minutes).

What happens to my personal data or session notes or recordings?

I will not pass on your personal data to third parties unless, for example, you’d like me to put you in touch with a potential business partner in the DACH region. The meeting notes and the recording, if you wish to record the session, won’t be published on the website or on social media. They belong to you and are available for you to listen to at a later date.

Do I need to have my camera on during the session?

No, you don’t have to leave it running. Whilst it does help to create a convivial atmosphere, for reasons of bandwidth, it may be advisable to keep it switched off in some cases.
