About me
For many years I have taken part in language exchanges, sharing my native German with learners from around the world. I have lived in Austria, my home country, as well as Taiwan, Portugal, Brazil, Germany, and I am currently based in France.
Although I have always been passionate about literature, I am a biotechnologist by training. After working in research and food safety laboratories, I switched careers following the pandemic and moved into marketing and international commerce.
What I bring to the table:
👉🏻Experienced (online-) tutor for people with mandarin or french as native language
👉🏻Online sessions in different languages: I conduct the sessions either fully in German (native) or with explanations in English or in French (fluent) – I also have some intermediate understanding of Mandarin
👉🏻Technical knowledge in science and marketing: I’m here for you with personal insights, if you want to talk « business ».
Vision
I want to convey that the German-speaking DACH region is home to several equally valid standard varieties of German, not just the one being applied in Germany. By fostering an appreciation of this diversity, I aim to help learners communicate with greater confidence, avoid misunderstandings and unnecessary cultural faux pas, and navigate intercultural situations, such as business meetings or exchange semesters, with ease.
